A note on the finish: these tiles are made with a translucent acrylic back, which is what gives them that beautiful jelly glow. Absolutely Love These Tiles — A Total Hit at Our Studio!
I absolutely love the Lucky Daughter Auntie Set! From the beautiful colors to the thoughtful meaning behind the design, these tiles are truly something special. They are fun, unique, and definitely make a statement on the mahjong table!
There are a couple of things I’ve noticed that I don’t necessarily love. The backs of the tiles seem to show smudges and fingerprints constantly, which can be a little frustrating. Also, some players have a hard time distinguishing the cups as cracks rather than dots, although that personally doesn’t bother me.
As the owner of a mahjong studio, I get to see firsthand how different players react to different tile sets, and let me tell you, these have been a total hit! Despite those couple of minor drawbacks, I wouldn’t dream of taking them out of our studio rotation. They are just too beautiful and fun to play with!
I’m now anxiously awaiting the matching mat and the holiday set to arrive! Clearly, I’m a fan, and I can’t wait to add more Lucky Daughter to our tables!
Enjoyed playing these tiles with my 3 sisters while waiting for our niece at the hospital while she was in labor - all the aunties playing Mahjong waiting to see our great nephew born!
My favorite tile set! I love the inspiration behind the Auntie Jokers. The tile backs are absolutely gorgeous they’re translucent and have this beautiful, almost jelly-like look.
